Baby develops and grows his skills through play, especially in his early months and he does this by exploring with his hands, looking with his eyes, feeling with his mouth and listening with his ears. Baby gyms offer a soft play environment for baby, so parents can relax and let baby explore all the great activities available at their finger tips. This is key since at this stage baby cannot move around much, so everything they need is in easy sight, sound and reach.

An activity gym offers baby an exciting environment for them to play and explore their new world. Usually a toy arches overhead from which activity toys hang allowing baby to grab and activate easily, many may have sounds which activate and this will encourage baby to repeat and learn cause and effect.
